All about Huxleys
The who, what, why and where of Huxleys
The Food
Everybody loves British food – you know the sort your mum used to make you back in the olden days. With today’s hectic lifestyles most of us don’t cook so much anymore and when we do it’s probably something Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese - the list is endless. However, Sunday roasts apart, British food doesn’t feature much in the British kitchens and restaurants of today. But don’t despair because Huxleys is here to change all that.
Using great quality ingredients we’ve lovingly recreated all of the great British dishes we love, from pie and mash to spotted dick with custard via Welsh rarebit with mature English cheddar. Have a look at the complete menu here.

The drink
Unfortunately British wines, whilst excellent, tend to be produced in quite small quantities (and when you have a restaurant a small quantity usually isn’t enough). Nevertheless, we do have an excellent white wine from the Three Choirs Vineyard in Gloucestershire, some great British bitters and ales and lashings of ginger beer - and other tasty soft drinks - from Fentimans.
The restaurant
Internally Huxleys oozes British style and class with a bit of funkiness thrown in for good measure. There’s lots of comfortable soft seating, dark wood and a relaxing colour scheme of greens, creams and black. The walls are covered with Warholesque Marmite jars – you’ll either love them or you’ll hate them - and panoramas of great British landmarks. Oh, and we have some grass set in acrylic because….well, we think it looks nice. However, don’t take our word for it have a look at the pictures…
